OUR STORY
Established in 1996, Ballast is an Australian financial services group built on a simple belief that a connected financial approach leads to better outcomes for our clients.
From the early days, we understood that our clients needed more than just traditional financial services. We set out to provide a fully integrated solution that could support their immediate day-to-day needs while also helping them build and protect long-term wealth.
This vision led to the creation of Ballast Group of Companies. Over the years, we have expanded to include dedicated Accounting, Financial Planning, and Superannuation divisions, enabling us to manage all of our clients’ business and financial needs under one roof, through one trusted team.

OUR TEAM
Ballast is a close-knit team of dedicated professionals, led by Managing Director Gayle Alchin, who has worked for the company and her clients for over 15 years.
​While Gayle oversees the broader direction of the business, clients and staff, Operations Manager Brooke Molina and Financial Planner Chris Collins focus on the day-to-day operations and guidance. Supported by a skilled and committed team, they ensure our clients receive responsive support, accurate advice, and the exceptional service they have come to expect from us.
The separate Accounting, Financial Planning and Superannuation Management teams all work collaboratively in our Perth office to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and outstanding client outcomes. We understand how important a secure financial future is and we are committed to delivering the best experience and service to our clients.

Over our 30 years, Ballast has proudly supported the local community in order to make a meaningful difference outside of our organisation.
Ballast has engaged in charitable donations with Guide Dogs WA and the Asthma Foundation.
We are long-standing sponsors of the local Hockey Club and a more recent sponsor of the HCMC.
Our wonderful team has also volunteered their time through initiatives such as Ronald McDonald House.
